![]() 17 Again![]() Now on face value I though this was going to be another tragic teen American film, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was actually an enjoyable film, not the best film I’ve ever seen, but not a waste of time! Mike (Matthew Perry, who is and always will be Chandler in my eyes) is disappointed with his life and after being unhappy for the past 20 years, now his wife wants nothing to do with him and his children have followed suit. He wishes he could go back to when he was 17 and change everything he thinks that it will make him happy. One day he gets his wish and after falling off a bridge, he is transformed back to a 17 year old, he thinks that his purpose is to pursue his basketball career, which he gave up to be with his then pregnant girlfriend. However, he quickly realises that there is something more important for him to focus his attention on and that his children. Thinking that all is rosy in his children’s life he soon sees that his son is the school punch bag and his daughter is going out with the school bully. So he sets his sights on making is son more popular and get the girl he wants, and try to split up his daughter and boyfriend. Whilst trying to change things for the better, he spends more time with his wife, who sees the resemblance of him now to when her husband was 17, but thinks it can’t be him, and Mike works his magic and in the end, stops the divorce going through and makes her realise that people can change and that he has changed for the best and that their marriage can work. Now if you are like me and find Zac Efron one of the most annoying people in the world, try and put that aside and give this film a watch, with a few funny moments it’s an enjoyable film to watch.
